I divide my paycheck by rent, food, clothes, entertainment and transportation. I own a small car that I use to drive to my job of fixing roofs. I pay $200 dollars per month on the car plus 60 for gas. I use $100 dollars for clothes, $100 for clothes another $100 dollars for food and only $50 dollars for entertainment since I don’t pay for dates. I have $400 dollars left over and I put $243 dollars and the rest I use as pocket money, $157 dollars.

3/22/10
Today I bought a car! I’m really excited because I was riding my bike everywhere and my legs were getting really tired!! But now, I finally have a car. It’s small, a little Toyota camry. It’s blue and silver. It only cost $200.00 a month plus $60 dollars for gas. I wonder if I should have got my own place and stopped living with Ros but I love living with her!!!

It's Rosalind's Life: Wk 1

My name is Rosalind. I work in the medical field. I work in the intensive care unit as an OB GYN nurse for GBMC hospital in Baltimore County, Maryland. My income monthly is a payment of $4,689.60, and $2,344.80 biweekly. I live a very comfortable lifestyle in my townhome with my friend whom I’ve invited to live with me. My home is affordable at $780.00 monthly, and my car note isn’t a burden either. My car note in total comes up to $200.00, plus 60 dollars in gas expenses. Aside from my car, and home, the remainder of my currency goes to my clothing and food purchasing, and my entertainment as far as the things I like to do in my spare time. As far as rent goes, my roommate is required to pay half of the rent each month in order to stay in my house. Because I don’t exactly like to shop, I only spend a total of $120.00 on clothes, and $120.00 on food each month. I particularly like to go out for fun and things of that nature so I spend a total of $200.00 on entertainment a month. The remainder of my check $2,900.00, goes to my savings account a month, and I still have some pocket money for my own personal purchases. I can’t complain.

It's Justus's Life: wk 1

Hi my name is Justus and I’m a pastor. I make $55,000 in a year. I live in a studio in Maryland. For rent I have to pay $550. For entertainment I spend $350 on weekends. For food I spend $175 and for clothes I spend $300. I have a small car that I have to pay $200 a month and $60 for gas. I got married to a gold digger but the good thing is she has a good job and helps with the bills a little. She contributes $500 every 2 weeks to the household. I’m going to have to move out the studio that we can have room. I might move into a townhouse because she has like a million belonging.
My friend Savanna lost her job but I think that she begged for her job back but. I’m glad that the boss gave her job back so she can pay her bills.
My other friend Roze thought that she was not going to win the lottery but she did. She won $2000. Man I was so mad because I tried to win that lottery but I’m going to win next week.

It's Savanna's Life: wk 1

My name is Savanna. I am a mechanic and I am 22 years old. I get paid every 2 weeks and my paycheck is 855.65. I split my payment up by rent, transportation, entertainment, clothes, and food. My rent is 550 dollars a month because I live in a one room apartment. I ride my bike to work and it cost 20 dollars. My entertainment is 100 dollars, because I pay for the television bill monthly. My clothes are 150 dollars. I go out every now and then to shop at the mall with my friends. My food budget monthly is 150 dollars. My boyfriend has his own place and takes me out every week on a date. All together my monthly income is $1711.52. All together my total is $970. I put $200 in the bank and that leaves me with some pocket money. I get paid $25,000 a year to take care of myself because I live alone.

But today I lost my job……I was sitting on the bed all day long eating fast food and watching soap opera’s on TV, and crying my eyes out. When I found out I lost my job my whole world went black. My boss pulled me aside and told me I miss work too many times. I felt bad at work because everyone was watching me cry, and run out the door. But then something great happened! I found a new job! And now my new boss is so cool. I am so happy! I make the same amount of money that I did at the job that I lost. Go figure that.

It's Trai's Life: Week 1

I am Trai. I am a teacher and I make $32,500 a year. Every month I make $2,225 and every two weeks I make $1,112. I pay $550 for my house, $100 for my clothes, $100 for my food and $200 for my entertainment. That leaves me with $1,275 for my saving and for pocket money. I put $1,000 in the bank and $275 for pocket money.

Today someone gave me the opportunity to get a house or car upgrade but I turned it down because I don’t really want to spend more money than I have to and I am not sure how the rest of my life will go.

Also I am kind of jealous but happy that one of my friends hit the lottery. One of my friends lost there job but found a new one that pays the same amount of money her old job did. One of my friends got married; one had to put his bicycle in the shop, one is moving into his parent’s basement and one got a 20% stock drop.

All in All, I think I did well this week and made the best decision for my pockets.

It's Quincy's Life: Week 1

I go food shopping at Harvest Fair every two weeks. I also have to buy things for my apartment so I shop at Ikeas for like lamps, chairs, paint, and other things. I love to hang out and go on dates. I have a special someone, and we go out every Fri, and Sat.

March 23, 2010

Today, I just won the lottery, and got $2,000. I am so happy. I’m going to add $100 to my pocket money. I’m going to add $150 to my clothes. Also I am going to add $60 to my entertainment budget. I’m going to have $1,690 left to put in savings in case something bad happens later or just for a rainy day.

It's Kree's Life: Week 1

I’m Kree` and I am 21 years old , bold brown eyes , pretty wavy black hair, golden brown skin ,beautiful smile , swag to die for . I am currently a bar tender and I make $376.53 every other Friday and $ 753.06 monthly. I live with a room mate and at times things are hectic. Like, we don’t always agree on everything. I may be a few dollars short on rent and we may accidentally eat one another’s food, and many more horrible things. I enjoy shopping at the GAP, dating, going out with friends and going out for tea with my mother on Saturday mornings. At this moment, in life I am dating a guy named Antonio Logan and he’s about 6’2, muscular, curly top fade, and this bold goat’ tee, hazel brown eyes to die for, creamy skin , beautiful white teeth and smile , and a style that’s so UNIQUE . Antonio works at southern way mechanics; he pays for our dates on the weekend and tries to help me out as much as possible. I would like to go to Maryland State University, but I just don’t have the money right now. Maybe things will get better.

Aaw man!!! As of today on March 22, 2010 the stock I invested in failed. I have to take 5.00 dollars away from my spending money, I can’t put 20.00 in the bank and I definitely can’t go shopping. Man, I was really looking forward to buying those new bell bottoms and buying some shirts and shorts for Spring. This is really gonna take a toll on my living situation. Things are gonna be tight until my next pay check.

I can admit that I am a LITTLE jealous because at least one thing or nothing too bad happened to all my friends. Zach’s woman left him but that’s not so bad he still has the cats. Rosalind won $2000 dollars from the Maryland lottery, Savanna got a new job, August got a new car, Justus got married, Trai got offered a chance to upgrade, but all’s well it end’s well . Things will get better. =)

It's Zack C's Life: Week 1

I’m a bank teller. I ride my bike to work. I spend $100 per month in clothes, $200 on entertainment, and $200 on food, and savings.

My girl left me with her cats and said she’s not coming back ever. I don't want hers cats. They cost too much. Besides that, they stink up my apartment.
I don't really want them. But one of the last things she said as she walked out the door is "Oh by the way Buffie is pregnant”. Buffie is the cat. I know I can sell her kittens. At least maybe I could sell a boy and girl cat to Kree and she can sell the kittens to make some money too.
