It's Trai's Life: Week 1

I am Trai. I am a teacher and I make $32,500 a year. Every month I make $2,225 and every two weeks I make $1,112. I pay $550 for my house, $100 for my clothes, $100 for my food and $200 for my entertainment. That leaves me with $1,275 for my saving and for pocket money. I put $1,000 in the bank and $275 for pocket money.

Today someone gave me the opportunity to get a house or car upgrade but I turned it down because I don’t really want to spend more money than I have to and I am not sure how the rest of my life will go.

Also I am kind of jealous but happy that one of my friends hit the lottery. One of my friends lost there job but found a new one that pays the same amount of money her old job did. One of my friends got married; one had to put his bicycle in the shop, one is moving into his parent’s basement and one got a 20% stock drop.

All in All, I think I did well this week and made the best decision for my pockets.

  3. hello trai. it is very wize of you to save your money. i would do the exact same thing. i would suggest you just move into a town home. its cheaper, and you save more. judging by the amount you spend on your home, you must live in a bigger home. you should purhaps get a smaller place, that way you'd have more cash.

  6. hey trai. i think it was smart to put $275 in your pocket because talib put $1,000 in the bank and had $930.76 in his pocket, then his luxury car is in the shop and he has to take the bus. If u did take that upgrade than things might have been worse for you
